Featured employer: NWC Works and Value Village Partnership

NWC has established a working agreement with the Value Village/Savers Corporation to develop employment opportunities for clients served by NWC Works with Value Village stores across the Puget Sound area. As part of the agreement NWC Works has provided training and consultation with Value Village store managers and staff about supported employment and disability awareness. In addition, NWC has committed one full time employment specialist to work directly with Value Village to assist in the training and placement of clients into jobs within local stores. As of July 2008, nine NWC clients have become employed within four different Value Village stores. NWC greatly appreciates this partnership with Value Village and looks forward to establishing similar opportunities with other local businesses as well.
