Northwest Center Works is funded by a combination of government agencies and proceeds generated by Northwest Center’s many enterprises. As a result not only are our services free to employers but NWC Works can offer a very extensive package of services to our business partners.

- Working with employers to help provide any necessary accommodations
- Consolation regarding supported employment and the role of the employment specialist

In working with NWC Works you will have an employment specialist available to assist you with understanding how to work effectively with employees with a variety of conditions and abilities.
Supported Employment
Supported Employment involves working closely with both the applicant and the employer each step of the way to assure that an excellent job match is made and that the applicant learns and is able to perform the job satisfactorily. This means that the employment specialist may be involved in training and coaching the applicant as they transition into the position and will be available over time to insure on going employment.
Northwest Center Works is staffed by trained employment specialists that can effectively assess, match and train applicants to fill and perform a wide variety of jobs. Each NWC Works applicant has an assigned employment specialist that is the vital link to providing job coaching and communication.
Customized Employment
NWC Works staff can work with you to create a customized job that combines a list of needed job tasks and duties into a position that an applicant from NWC is perfectly matched to complete. Customized employment is the opportunity for a business to specifically select a person to carry out a routine job which can often free up other employees to perform more complicated or changing duties. NWC Works employment specialists can meet with businesses to assess their operations and make recommendations regarding customized employment options.
